Our 2014 Petite Sirah is dark and opaque, a deep purple. Aromas of leather and plum emerge from the glass. Layers of cassis, plum and red fruits coat the mouth on first taste, followed by secondary flavors of espresso, leather, tobacco and cocoa that emerge as the wine opens up in the glass. Some bright acidity helps balance the powerful tannins, giving this wine a delicious and smooth finish.
A nested AVA within Napa Valley, Yountville is known for cool, marine growing conditions that yield grapes with rich flavor and elegant balance. This wine pairs wonderfully with cumin- and garlic-spiced beef, sautéed mushrooms, and lamb.
