In 2013, the bountiful Rutherford growing region produced wine-ready grapes nearly two weeks sooner than any other Napa Valley harvest in the previous decade. After a warm, dry spring, continued ideal conditions gave way to grape growth that was “early, even, and excellent,” exceeding expectations after an already extraordinary 2012 growing season.
We were able to source grapes of perfect ripeness and flavor profiles, to produce a well-structured Cabernet that is a delight to the palate. Its initial mouthfeel is slow and sensuous, with soft edges that enchant the tongue. As the flavors unfold, you’ll detect hints of fruitiness at play with chocolate indulgences and savory notes. With an undeniable pedigree and strength of character, this is a wine that’s built to age—you can enjoy it now or five to ten years from now.
